CHEER FUND
The Whitmire Jaycees conduct the Whitmire Cheer Fund project to help provide Christmas cheer for the less fortunate children of Whitmire. We appeal to local businesses, churches, and organizations to help make this possible.
ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT
Community Easter Egg Hunt is at Heritage Park behind Whitmire Community Center. It is sponsored by the Whitmire Jaycees. Prizes are awarded. Children from ages 3 to 12 should bring a basket for hunting eggs. Light refreshments are served.
HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL
The Whitmire High Athletic Booster Club had been doing this Halloween carnival for 45 years. They gave it over to the Whitmire Jaycees at the end of the carnival in 2014.
The date usually set as the last Saturday in October. There are games and inflatable’s for the children. Flyers are send to the school so we could have the annual poster contest. Concessions, door prizes and game prizes are also part of the carnival. It was a small charge for admission into the carnival.
CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING
Each year with connect to the community to light the town's Christmas Tree with the help of Whitmire Community School, Whitmire High School Royal Regiment and local minister around the community.
